Oficial fallece en Lomas de Zamora: dos patrulleros colisionan violentamente

Dos patrulleros policiales participaban en operativos separados cuando colisionaron brutalmente en la intersección de las calles Cosquín y Barcelona, en la localidad bonaerense de Villa Albertina, partido de Lomas de Zamora, el lunes por la madrugada. Según el portal local La Unión, un grupo de policías was assigned to establish a sanitary cordón to clear the way for a Emergencias Lomas ambulance, while other patrol cars were engaged in a high-speed pursuit of a vehicle. Unfortunately, upon reaching the intersection, the two police cars failed to avoid each other and collided violently, leading to the death of one police officer.

Three policemen were injured in the crash and were taken to the local hospital. Unfortunately, one of the drivers suffered a cardiac arrest while being transported and passed away before reaching the medical facility. The deceased officer was identified only by his last name, Mendoza, with no further details disclosed.

The patrol cars were severely damaged in the crash, and investigators examined the scene, but no information was provided about any potential charges. In a separate incident, a high-speed police pursuit in Buenos Aires ended with two suspects in custody and a patrol car embedded in a house.

The chase began when a couple stole a Peugeot 208 in the bonaerense party of San Martín. When the Security City officers spotted the theft, they began to pursue the vehicle. The pursuit continued until the suspects entered the City of Buenos Aires, where the patrol car crashed into a house, injuring the two officers on board. The Peugeot 208 continued to flee, hitting a tree and setting on fire. The suspects escaped on foot and were later apprehended by the City Police at the intersection of Figueroa Alcorta and Basavilbaso.,
