Capturan en Las Palmas a estafador que operaba fraudes online en arriendos de inmuebles

Un individuo con numerosos antecedentes penales ha sido arrestado en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, after being linked to over a hundred complaints of a specific crime across Spain, according to the National Police. The judicial authority has already ordered the suspects imprisonment.

The suspect was part of a criminal organization that employed the modus operandi of rental scams related to housing rentals through real estate websites, as reported by the security force in a press release.

The investigation began in the middle of last year, after numerous complaints were detected in different police stations throughout the country. The victims had been defrauded through real estate portals on websites. After analyzing the various commonalities in the complaints, the main perpetrator of the crimes was identified and accredited in over a hundred cases, leading to the suspects arrest.

Once the police investigation was concluded, the detainee was handed over to the competent judicial authority, who promptly ordered the suspects incarceration.

It is worth noting that the detainee had multiple outstanding warrants from various courts across the country, which highlights the seriousness of their criminal record and the need for strong action to be taken against them.
